About Julian

Julian Lam is a full-stack developer with over 15 years of experience building secure and customizable software. Since 2013, he has been co-maintaining the NodeBB community forum software and working with NodeBB Inc. to build out custom forum integrations for paid clientele. Most recently, he spearheaded the integration of the ActvityPub protocol into NodeBB, allowing for an industry-first method for inter-forum communication. This work was sponsored by the NLNet Foundation as part of their NGI Core and NGI Core Zero initiatives.

He also serves as the Music Director of the Dundas Concert Band

In his spare time, Julian plays rock climbs, cycles, and plays saxophone for the Burlington Concert Band (and the baton, for Dundas.)
